Post Christmas Fun

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Our Christmas was a lot of fun. We spent an enjoyable time together opening gifts, relaxing and eating lots of food. Cami, of course, had twice as many presents under the tree as the rest of the family put together. Unfortunately for her, most of them were clothes (larger sizes as she continues to grow A LOT). I am not posting any pictures on this blog, but am posting a couple of short videos. The first one is something that I have been trying to capture for a while - Cami ruling over the dogs. The second is her interpretation of playing with her rocking horse - a gift from one of the neighbors. Enjoy!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Whether you are traveling, staying home or having friends and relatives over, here is wishing you the merriest of Christmas'. Each and every one of you are in our thoughts during this holiday season and throughout the year. I still dream of the year when all of us will be together for Christmas. What a grand time that will be with all the new family members.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Love - John, Deb, Jason, Sara and Cami

Crazy Weather!

Let me just start out by saying that I really do love living in Texas. I love the weather, the people and the culture. However, these past three or four weeks the weather has been absolutely crazy and it makes me wonder if I am just as crazy as the weather for loving it here. We woke up this morning to temperatures at about 26 degrees with a wind chill of 16. And this after having an absolutely gorgeous, get-outside-and-do-things Sunday with a high of 79. Both Cami and I have been dealing with drippy noses for so long, I don't think we know what it's like any more to not worry about having some Kleenex handy. Now mind you, I don't mind chilly weather (after all, I did live in Michigan for 20 years). It's this darn up and down stuff that makes me a little nutty. All I can say at this point is that I hope we have this temperature for Christmas. Even after being in Texas for almost 27 years, I still miss having cold weather and snow for Christmas.

Here's hoping the next week and a half leading up to the holidays, and the holidays themselves, bring everyone all that they wish for. And that everyone is able to enjoy their families and time off from work and/or school.

Twenty Four and Counting

Where do the years go? Hard to imagine that yesterday John and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything yesterday, but on Sunday we went to the West End in Dallas (it is a part of downtown Dallas) to have dinner at one of the yummy steakhouses. Then a short (mile) walk to the American Airlines Center to watch the Stars play the Edmonton Oilers. And, yes, the Stars did win!!! All in all, it was a pleasant day and we enjoyed just hanging out together. Kind of hard to do right now with our overflowing household, so it's nice for just the two of us to get away for a few hours.

Yesterday, I did receive some absolutely gorgeous roses from my husband. All the other girls in the office were jealous! :)
